FAQ

1. What is a virtual challenge?
A virtual challenge is a physical challenge that tasks you to run, cycle, walk, swim or move a certain distance over a specified period of time. Anyone of any ability can participate and it can be completed at any location, at your own pace, and in however many stints you require. All you need to do is register as an individual, join a team or start a team and log your miles as you complete them in the challenge site.

2. Where can I complete my miles?
Can be completed at any location that you desire. Walk the street of your neighborhood, mountain bike trails or swim laps in a pool. All of them count.

3. Who should your team be?
We are highly encouraging this event to be a relationship building opportunity that you might be able to use to share your life and the Gospel. Think about coworkers, teammates, other professionals etc.

4. How do people donate?
Its easy! Send donors to www.project54.org and there is a donate button in the upper right corner! Donors can select find you, a team or one of our ambassadors to designate the funds. By selecting you, their donation will still go to support the goals of Project 54, we are just tracking the funds raised by that individual or team.

5. Where does the money go?
Every dollar raised will go to support the work of the Ambassadors of Youth Ministry with Nexus International. Each one of our ambassadors are indigenous leaders who faithfully serve their communities by equipping, training and discipling leaders who makes disciples of young people in the communities and neighborhoods around their city or country.  From Colombia to Bhutan, God is at work in the lives of thousands of young people because of your faithful support.

6. How hard is it to raise $1000?
Easy! Your entire team divides the $1000 up so everyone takes a chunk. One possible way would be to hold a dinner for your potential teammates to share the vision, ask each of them to share the vision and goals of Project 54 with many of their friends, co-workers, bible study and church members as possible. If you have ten people on your team each person would ask ten other people to sponsor them for $10.

7. How do the fundraising prizes work?
As team donations come in they will be tracked at www.project54.org. The top three fundraising teams will receive a prize for the whole team. First place - $1,000 gift certificate to REI, second place - $750 gift certificate to REI and Third place - $500 gift certificate to REI.  Finally, we will have other prizes for individual fundraisers and we will also give out a prize for the team that sends us the most creative team picture.  Tons of prizes so get excited about!
